Exciting Opportunity for an Storyboard Artist / Character Animator

Start Date: June 2007

We are seeking a skilled 2D/3D artist with a focus on visual storytelling to be tasked with story-boarding and character animation. Work on a unique independent large format (IMAX) movie production with a team of writers, visual artists, animators, scientists, and VFX pros.

Requirements:

* 2-5+ years Industry experience.
* Clean draftsmanship
* Strong understanding of traditional animation principles, cartooning, and storyboarding.
* Demonstrable modeling & animation skills in Maya.
* Ability to work collaboratively.
* Must be open to direction and able to embrace change.
* Self-managed and Self-motivated.
* Ability to work in NY's Capital Region

* The ability to work with assets from modeling to rigging, binding, and animation
* Proven storytelling ability
* LINUX operating system experience
* Arts background
* Interest in Science, Chemistry, and Nano/Biotechnology
